And once again Trump walks away from the wreckage, leaving others to take the blame

NEW YORK – Allen Weisselberg pleaded guilty Thursday to all 15 criminal charges in a scheme that paid him lavish corporate benefits in off-the-books payments from the Trump Organization without paying taxes on the perks.

The deal requires him to testify truthfully about the scheme if called as a government witness at the pending trial of the Trump Organization, which has also been charged in the scheme. But the agreement does not require Weisselberg to cooperate with prosecutors against former President Donald Trump himself, who has not been charged.

If he took a guilty plea he took it on himself.

@Virgo79 True. And agreed to testify truthfully that the Trump Organization was complicit in tax evasion over at least several decades.

@windinhishair so Trump hasnt walked away, you miss everything🤦‍♂️

@Virgo79 He's just as guilty as he ever was. His company goes on trial later this year on related charges, and Weisellberg has agreed to testify.

@windinhishair ofcourse guilty until proven innocent, i totally understand.

@Virgo79 His company will be found guilty. Weisselberg just pled guilty to tax evasion based on evading salary paid by the Trump Organization. Is that really so hard to understand?

@windinhishair so if you paid me a sum of money and i didnt pay the taxes on it youd be guilty?
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@Virgo79 That's not the situation or even close to it. Weisselberg was given apartments, cars, etc. in lieu of salary. The Trump Organization even paid his son's tuition directly. Weisselberg benefits from making less money but getting the things money would buy and the Trump Organization benefits from not paying taxes on his salary. So if you worked for me and I bought your car and didn't claim it as compensation, and neither did you, we would both be guilty of tax fraud.

@windinhishair no its becaues you're not Trump.
Thanks for your reply

@Virgo79 Follow the law. Not Trump. As Weisselberg is finding out, everything Trump touches turns to crap.

@windinhishair until the innocent until proven guilty part comes in.
You just cant decide what you believe😂
Im done, have st it

@Virgo79 Weisselberg pled guilty, so he's guilty. Part of the plea deal is to testify truthfully about the Trump Organization and its illegal payments. The trial will take place in October. Don't expect a positive outcome given Weisselberg's admitted guilt.
