Freya, the sea lion who came to stay in Norway, has paid the ultimate price for man's stupidity and self-centeredness.

After repeatedly asking people not to approach and interact, authorites deemed the safest and most viable option to remove the object of attraction. They humanely put her down this morning.

So another innocent creature pays for the arrogance of man. Well done.

maybe not hype it up as a local celebrity and later ask people to not approach or interact with it. of course that would not work.
I am certainly not supporting it being killed in the slightest as there would have been far better options. People to blame here are the authorities who decided the best course of action is killing it instead of transporting it to a safer area
My bet is it was more put down due to being a annoyance to boat owners and emergency services and not so much those going to view it

@Torsten They did try to re-home the animals, but it was deemed a non-viable option. The boat owners only began complaining after the influx of...humans.
