@redredred Right, because the odds are so much higher that out of the literal hundreds of billions of potentially habitable planets in this galaxy, we are completely alone.

@Pitchblue yes they are, unidentified flying objects.what part of that suggests alien origin? BTW, they are actually now known as UAPs. Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon, also no hint of alien origin.

@LordShadowfire I certainly never suggested such a thing but there’s not a shred of evidence any alien has ever visited here. I assume there are many advanced cultures throughout this and most galaxies but, based on what I understand about the distances involved it’s incredibly unlikely we’ll ever meet them. Too bad too.

If you want an alternate hypothesis no wilder than the idea of interstellar travel, let’s posit that what you’re seeing are the people of earth 20,000 years from now engaging in time travel.

@redredred I certainly could be wrong, but I very much doubt the History channel would claim that to be genuine, unaltered footage without doing their due diligence.

@LordShadowfire Aren’t they the network with all those shows about Bigfoot and haunted houses? The object looked like a balloon or a kite caught in the wind. There’s no way to gauge its speed and I saw no clear navigational signs; it didn’t turn toward or away from the plane.

It literally could be anything.

@redredred Okay. You want to see some shit that'll blow your mind, look up The Secrets of Skinwalker Ranch. The guys on that show aren't exactly the most scientific sort, but the raw footage they catch is going to be harder to explain.

@LordShadowfire no offense but I don’t believe anything I see on television presented as entertainment. The producers are under no obligation to vet what they show as true or accurate.
