The average NBA salary is 4.6 Million
The average WNBA salary is 120 Thousand.
Think about that.

I'm assuming they think it's because the WNBA are women therefore they are paid less?

Could it be they are paid according to the interest in the WNBA? Watch a game if you see it on TV, it looks like a high school game with the number of fans in the stands, I think women's college ball has more fans.

In Chicago, where the WNBA team just won the league championship, nobody showed up for the parade. Nobody cared. This is a town that drew millions for parades for the White Sox, Cubs, Blackhawks. The WNBA parade was an embarassment.

@graphite I live just outside. I never even knew there was an WNBA team much less the idea they won something. LOL

Of course I'm sick to death of the NBA too. But at least I know there's a team.

@carpediem And now the mayor is pulling out all stops to keep the Bears from bolting for a nearby suburb. Wonder what she'd do if the WNBA team wanted to move 30 miles away? Nothing, I suppose.
