Is it really ignorant to stop watching the news?

I've had a Media blackout for quite a while now (except coverage of UK heatwave) and dont really know what's going on in the world.

Strange thing is, I feel carefree and happier not hearing and seeing all the sadness and negativity out there.

What the people don’t understand is the news puts out what makes them money

The news is hyper focused on negativity because that’s what people want to tune in on and focus our brains are wired to be focus on the negative things because it’s our survival instinct

@DeluxedEdition The thing though is what is wrong is truly the only thing that is newsworthy. Things going right is what should be expected so in reality isn't worth mentioning or discussing.
