I read the Bible upside down like Donald.
@WonderGirl1 Their Choosen One. So, you say the Bible is your favorite book, what's your favorite passage? AAaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh
@Pitchblue 1Ti 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
1Ti 4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
1Ti 4:3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
1Ti 4:4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:

@WonderGirl1 You are a very surprising person.
@Pitchblue I'm not religious. I've tried to join many churches but I didn't follow what they were teaching. But I studied the bible instead. Whether you believe the Bible or not. It's a fascinating book. I love the Bible.
@WonderGirl1 That does surprise me. Recently Ive read that there is a passage about abortion in the Bible. Do you happen to know about that?
@Pitchblue
1Ti 4:4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
I came upon this passage when some Krishna people were trying to tell me God says we should not eat animals.

@Pitchblue No. I haven't come upon that.
@Pitchblue Do you think people aborted back in biblical times? I don't know. It hasn't been talked about as far as I know.
@WonderGirl1 Something about ridding ones self of a baby. Just more stuff I've read on line.

@Pitchblue There isn't. The gist of the passage is that a man accuses his wife of being unfaithful without any proof so she's given dirt mixed with water or some such to drink and "supposedly" if she had been unfaithful she would burst open but if she hadn't been unfaithful nothing would happen. Obviously nothing happens so it's assumed she's innocent.
I wouldn't be at all surprised that there were substances already known way back then that could be used to cause abortions but I can't recall anywhere in the bible that even hints at it. Certainly the Egyptians were already aware of how to prevent pregnancies.
The real issue here is that she was accused without proof. If there had been proof that she was unfaithful an abortion would have been the least of her worries.
