Be Afraid, Be Very Afraid

Elon Musk, the guy who wants to buy Twitter because Twitter may be silencing people, fired all the SpaceX employees who wrote a letter critical of him.

Wait until he gets ahold of Twitter.

Incidentally, he announced the he voted Republican in the Texas primaries.

He's a walking contradiction. So much for the free speech he goes on about

@deadgerbil Actually, when you look into the matter, it wasn't at all hypocritical or contradictory of Elon to fire the employees. It wasn't simply a matter of the letter being critical of Elon Musk. It was the matter of employees being pressured to sign onto the document.

"In an email to employees Thursday reviewed by The Washington Post, the rocket company’s president, Gwynne Shotwell, said the letter “made employees feel uncomfortable, intimidated and bullied” and pressured into signing a document that did not reflect their views."

Nobody should be coerced into signing a letter when they disagree with it. That is not freedom of speech. In the end, Elon Musk is continuing to stand for TRUE freedom of speech by protecting people from forced speech as well.

And we know that, because the company's President said so 🤣😂

How do you coerce someone into signing a letter criticizing the company you work for? The web site could be used anonymously and is in fact a reaction to the culture Musk forced, and that includes an open culture of sexual harassment.

Yes, this is what the company says. Clearly they are totally objective. 🤣😂

Musk does not have the funds to buy Twitter, and is putting together a group, that incudes a Saudi Arabian investor, Peter Thiel and Larry Alison. All champions of "free speech" (says no one).

And yet those who scream about wealth disparity, housing, right wing control and equity STILL follow him like he's a god. I'll never understand that part of it.

I thought the deal for him to buy Twitter was stalling out?
Northwest · M
@OggggO He does not have the money, so he's trying to put together an international coalition, that includes a Saudi Arabian investor, and Peter Thiel (the guy who sued and shut down an organization that said something negative about him).
