Sounds like McConaughey is getting serious about running for Texas Governor

His Op-Ed piece on gun responsibility is one of the few pragmatic efforts at bridging the gap to close the loopholes while respecting gun rights that I have seen:

@RedBaron The man was very good at communicating and selling his positions which is the mark of a leader. He also deserves high marks for some of his achievements -- notably contributing to the end of the Cold War, the strengthening of alliances, and the selling of free markets -- although, ironically, the last two don't seem to have stuck with either the Republicans or Trump supporters. But, as I noted, he had a few disasters on his track record as well.

@dancingtongue Most presidents do. But he also excelled at bipartisanship, famous for his friendship with Tip O'Neill and other Democrats. That is sorely missed today.
