So The Uvalde shooter, Salvador Ramos, was bullied in school.

This is sad. Another senseless tragedy because people were mean to someone for no reason. The article says he was bullied because he was poor.

Maybe his act was a cry for help that can show us that starting in elementary school, people need to watch out for others getting bullied.

eta- i am not justifying his actions or making excuses for him. i am merely trying to make sense of a senseless act

I was a very small child, and I was bullied mercilessly. It never occurred to me as a teen to go to an elementary school and retaliate against 4th graders. There is no excuse for this because he was bullied. I grew up with a number of kids who had been bullied, had abusive or drug or alcohol addicted parents, none of us shot up a school or church. Because someone had a bad or tough childhood, that isn't a reason to mitigate what they themselves do.

@Roadsterrider yet again i am not saying he had good reason or making excuses for him, at the same time though, he is not you. just becasue you handle things a certain way doesnt mean someone else will do the same. sorry i am just getting these redundant posts

@Penny "He was bullied and that is why this he did it" is justification for his actions. it alleviates him of responsibility for his actions, in other words, it is the bully's fault. He wanted to lash out because he was bullied maybe, or because he was poor, or for whatever reason, he became the bully except instead of picking on kids, he killed them. He is responsible for his actions.

@Roadsterrider no. it just means maybe this is what provoked him to do it
