What should be done if the Senate still refuses to deal with gun violence?

Open to suggestions.

We can't wait for the next election.

Lock em up in that room and don't let them out until they reach a sensible agreement!

@Montanaman Well you can last three days without water. An alcoholic could probably last twelve hours without a drink, but a woman needs to go to the bathroom about every ten minutes.

In what way/ways have they refused?
You have two parties. One party thinks the guns are the problem in spite of states like IL with VERY STRICT gun laws and a city (Chicago) with an incredible amount of gun violence. The other party recognizes guns are not the issue and periodically does the right thing in this regard.
@ProfessorPlum77 45 people were shot over Memorial Day weekend in Chicago. Same as almost every weekend in Chicago. Or St. Louis, Philadelphia, Detroit, New Orleans, etc. etc. etc. Let's continue to ignore that 90% of all firearm homicides occur in America's inner cities where gangs and drugs rule. Politicians on both sides will never address gun violence reality because they know it's their policies that fuels the fire. Instead, they continue to redirect blame at the lack of gun laws, or too many guns, or the type of guns.

@BizSuitStacy I agree. How often do you hear about inner city gun violence on the mainstream media outlets?

Why look to the government? How about people looking within and at home to help solve the rampant violence issue? Like, being better and more responsible parents. Teaching values and personal responsibility. Limiting and monitoring children's access to online activity and violent video games. Demanding accountability for criminals from the district attorney's office. Maybe go to church again? Complicated problem for sure, but I think people are waking up to the fact it's not guns, it's a demoralized and corrupt society we've allowed to fester. Yeah, for many the next elections cannot come soon enough.

@Tastyfrzz We’re in the same age group. There was never so much gratuitous violence on tv and film back in the day. Now, it’s common. People actually spend time trying to depict heads blown off, especially in games. Life is not valued like it used to be. Just my two cents. It’s a broad scope problem I think.
@rfatoday
You literally grew up with westerns being common on tv. So the whole blame it on games, movies and tv is bullshit.

Also since videogames cause violence which game caused the world wars, and the crusades?

And church? You mean the pedophile camps and gay conversion torture organizations? The sexism, homophobia, racism, transphobia, pro-slavery, pro-war, witch burning, human sacrifice, terroristic ,anti-intellectual, conspiracy laden churchs? Christianity ruled for a thousands years and it was called the dark ages.

"You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye."
@rfatoday Religion has never stopped anyone from being violent. How many theists are in the military ?
Here's two:
1) How about redirecting the $40 billion we're sending to the deep state's money laundering honey pot...aka Ukraine...to hardening schools?
2) How about acknowledging the gun violence elephant in the room, America's inner cities where 90% of firearm homicides occur in the US, and clean up the gangs and drugs?

I think they will not budge on banning Ar-15's
Or high capacity magazines. So why won't the dems scratch those two portions of the bill and get a vote on the rest? Because they want to take away all guns. Just write a bill that everyone can agree on and get it past. On the right...
They're so determined to not agree with Anything to help stop this violence that they look like fools. SOMETHING HAS TO BE DONE!
GrinNude · 61-69, C
Make it a priority voting issue.
Doomflower · 36-40, M
Shoot them?
Tastyfrzz · 61-69, M
@Doomflower Actions ( or inaction ) has consequences. It is quite likely that senators; and their families, who refuse to do anything will become targets of family members whose loved ones were killed. I suppose it's already happened but it's being kept quiet.
You know that whole having guns everywhere is going to backfire when they try to implement Gilead.

I’d get arrested.
