Who said the police were afraid?
Ozuye502 · 36-40, M
@BizSuitStacy the blatant disregard for training

@Ozuye502 I get that they just had active shooter training, and then stood around the outside of the school. But were they afraid or were they told to stand down?
@BizSuitStacy They have a SWAT team and the Police Station is minutes away from the school but Border Patrol went into the school. Why didn't any of the Police do thier job?
Ozuye502 · 36-40, M
@BizSuitStacy you do realize that following the stand down order went against training. Fuck all you needed was 3 guys or gals who had some macheasmo to get his ass move in quick and effective blow the lock with 00 buck shot and move in

@Ozuye502 If the shooter is actively shooting, then yes...go in until the threat is neutralized. If the shooter has barricaded himself, protocol changes to evacuation/negotiation.
Look...I'm not defending the police in this situation and saying they acted properly. I'm pissed off too. But I've read multiple versions of the story, and they can't all be true. I am challenging the OP's assessment that the police were afraid because of the type of firearm the shooter possessed.

@Pitchblue Everyone wants answers as to what happened. But you're the one who stated the police didn't act because they were afraid of the AR-15. How do you that's the reason?
@BizSuitStacy Waiting for answers is not going to help in this case because the Police and Abbott have lied several times. Looks like they are in cover up mode. Now I hear they won't give up body came information. There is an obscure law in Texas that is the offender dies they don't have to give up body cam video. It all sounds so suspicious. Police Chief hides and refuses to cooperate with the investigation, etc, etc.
