Kind of course

I was checking out my local news website. There was this person driving on a highway that was just a 65 zone. He or she was going 120. He or she is suppose to go to court for this. I am kind of curious what would happen at court?

A judge reads out a statement of the facts and asks how you plead. You answer guilty or not guilty. You are then given a fine.
Depending on how far over the speed limit you are in relation to the law you will probably also loose your license for several months.

@justanothername Loose is not correct. Shoelaces get loose, not lose. And you can lose, not loose, your license.

@RedBaron ah I see your point. The joys of the English language.

120 in a 65 that’s steep my advice is get a lawyer! I got popped doing 93 in a 65 lawyer got it reduced to blocking an intersection yea cost me like $1000 between 600$ for the lawyer and 350$ For the fine and 75$ in court fees but points were drastically reduced was looking at 5 walked away with 2

This is reckless driving. What goes on in court depends on a lot of different things, like their previous record, were they drinking, etc.

Two possibilities: guilty or not guilty, pretty much like any court matter.
