I don't really understand what your point is. My country has relied on coal mining for years. Whole communities rely on it. The islands where I live have three coal fired power stations. They were on their way out because of cheaper imports of oil from Russia?!?!

@Blodyn Natural gas is eatting coals lunch but Solar and wind and batteries will soon be cheaper everywhere than natural gas and I'm celebrating it because of the CO2 emissions but also just the geopolitical implications I mean for the last century the USA and all of our enemies became petro states so they could hate us and bomb us while taking money from us on the other hand so breaking free of fossil fuels ends that.

@BetweenKittensandRiots Actually we are keeping our coal fired power stations open while others "depend" on Russian gas and oil.

Good for them! Hopefully the high prices of fossil fuels will bring a change in behaviour in this world. I assume they are going to switch to nuclear?
Blodyn · 22-25, F
@JimboSaturn New nuclear plants are being developed. Plus where farming is not profitable we have solar farms.
