Is it wrong to talk about the political solutions to the gun problem just because there was another tragedy?

Is it unfair to conservatives to use current events as a reason for collective, political action-. Like passing new laws?

Of course it is, any discussion of Gun Laws makes it more difficult for the Republicans getting millions from gun lobby groups to justify why 18 children were acceptable losses.
