Why does it SEEM like the Russia attack on Ukraine is a crime against humanity and yet the government and media barely pay that no never mind?

i have been hearing that quite a bit recently
at the least.. War crimes of deliberately targeting civilians,
and no I dont like it when MY government makes war on people either.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@Amylynne I read last night that the Azov fighters are using women and children as human shields in Eastern Ukraine.
Amylynne · 26-30, F
@hippyjoe1955 I am skeptical of you motive at bring these people up

Azov is a far-right all-volunteer infantry military unit whose members – estimated at 900 – are ultra-nationalists and accused of harbouring neo-Nazi and white supremacist ideology.

The unit was initially formed as a volunteer group in May 2014 out of the ultra-nationalist Patriot of Ukraine gang, and the neo-Nazi Social National Assembly (SNA) group.

do not confuse these persons, for the Heroes of Ukranine
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@Amylynne What heroes are you referring to? My friends in Eastern Ukraine want their part of Ukraine to join Russia.
Amylynne · 26-30, F
@hippyjoe1955
My friends in Eastern Ukraine/quote]
10 I don't think you have any friends there
yes i cm calling you a liar

2) those in the east of Ukraine, that want to be Russia ARE RUSSIANS
they are not Ukrainians

900 men of the azov, do not constitute the threat Mr Putin suggests.

go away now
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@Amylynne You can believe what ever you want about the young ladies I met and made friends with and keep in touch with since they worked their way around the world. I met them when they were working in the local coffee shop. My son dated one for a few months.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
When are you moving east? g@hippyjoe1955
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
You travel all the way to east Ukraine for coffee? Don’t you have Tim Horton’s? @hippyjoe1955
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@jackjjackson Why would I be moving east?
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
To bask in the glow of your mother Russia of course. @hippyjoe1955
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@jackjjackson Not a fan of Russia. Even less a fan of Ukraine and the US as it is presently constituted. If the US can't run a honest election.....
Really · 80-89, M
@Amylynne
those in the east of Ukraine, that want to be Russia ARE RUSSIANS they are not Ukrainians
What do you mean by that, exactly? Is it about citizenship, birthplace, passport, personal preference, public declaration, residential history, geopolitical history - what? How many of these 'Russians in East Ukraine' do you actually know and how many of them can you quote verbatim on the subject of their 'nationality'?
Really · 80-89, M
Russia's neighbors and their borders have been moving, changing, vanishing, disappearing and reappearing, being absorbed & spit back out, for centuries. Claiming 'ownership' based on prior history is just plain stupid.

It's a very special type of cherry-picking to suit political ambitions.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
All of that is subjective and the answer varies depending on which side you are asking. @Really
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Yes sir. Putin is a pig. @Really
Really · 80-89, M
@jackjjackson I'm not 'asking' anything when I state the fact that the borders and very existence of Russia's neighbors have changed often, not just for centuries but many times since the end of WW1.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Nope. You’re stating the obvious. As was I. Putin is a hog. @Really
