@KiwiBird Budapest memorandum was a non-binding unratified napkin promise, it never meant anything - a face saving gesture for Ukrainians more than anything because nobody was going to let them keep Soviet nukes.

@QuixoticSoul So we then do not give credence to anything the US signs. Sounds about right.

@KiwiBird Probably shouldn’t - as Iran recently learned these things change from year to year. At least a real treaty goes through Congress and becomes law.

US is not violating the Budapest memo though.
