Jussie Smollett found guilty of five felony charges in staging hate crime against himself…

I wonder what this will mean in terms of how he’s sentenced. No question it was a really stupid thing to do, considering that actual hate crimes still occur.

@MethDozer I don’t. As idiotic as this was, no one lost their lives because of it. His career is toast, and I could see him being fined, but he’s not a violent criminal.

@bijouxbroussard It's still pretty severe though. Violence isn't a requirement for damage and severity. IDK, that kind of stuff cannot be tolerated. Him doing that takes credibility from actual victims in the public eye.

@MethDozer You’re right, and that’s the first thing I thought when it all came out. He should definitely face a fine that covers all the money wasted investigating a false report.
