US News Discussion

So the infrastructure bill hasnt passed? I thought it was good to go?

I hope if it passes they make an allowance for the arts.

Wow they might start using electric buses. Cool? It sounds good to me if they are proven safe. Does electricity depend on nuclear power? I mean, obvious there's solar but where else does electricity come from? (A little off topic but oh well, was just thinking about the electric busses.)

We sold China the best and cleanest bus technology ... then outlawed it in the US

Buses which run on a engine the size of a lawnmower ... using fluid reservoirs to recapture energy lost in deceleration.

Which could run a week without refueling.
I remember seeing news clips about that bus technology but never knew what happened with it. Wow. That sucks. And doesn’t surprise me @questionWeaver
@stratosranger Pelosi locked it up in 2006? For 100 years ... and forced the company with the technology to sell it to China

So sad
Whoa. WTF? @questionWeaver
@stratosranger It was the simplest concept ... it recaptured 85% of all energy during deceleration ... meaning it could operate with an engine 19X smaller and still out accelerate a current bus.

The French outlawed it too ... Renault produced a 180 MPG car ... and the EURO-zone outlawed its manufacture.

The lesson is "do not not go against liberal socialist thinking"
@questionWeaver Wow. That’s sad as hell
