Why the lessons of 9/11 are wasted

‘No one seems aware any longer that there’s such a thing as a hostile external power that poses a graver threat to our existence than in-house systemic racism or micro-aggressions. In the Biden administration, our generals have been fixated not on international threats, or even on getting our troops safely out of Afghanistan, but on rooting out “white [hate] rage” in our own soldiers. Biden himself has encouraged our intelligence community to switch their focus from Islamist terrorism to domestic extremists on the right…..The lessons of 9/11 are wasted on us’ (Lionel Shriver - Telegraph U.K.)

Right-wing terrorism dwarfs left-wing and Islamic terrorism combined. This chart is a few years old, but going by the last few years, it probably wouldn't have changed much, other than a slight increase in left-wing events and a drop in Islamic ones. Biden is correct, right-wing terrorism is far more dangerous than Islamic or other external terrorism.

@LeopoldBloom I was just thinking that, thanks for posting the graph.

Might be for you over there but not for us here. Live in your own little goldfish bowl@LeopoldBloom

@Grvstu That LB guy lives in an alternate universe. Clueless and useless.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@Oberon1 The graph is a fake crises actor paid for by Soros.
Oberon1 · 61-69, M
@SatanBurger It is very fake. Lies and fabrications are all the pseudo dems have. It is disgusting and tragic.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@Oberon1 The graph is a Satanic lizard paid for by Soros.
Oberon1 · 61-69, M
@SatanBurger All of you are going to be drowning in your own feces soon. There are consequences for chronic stupidity. The disastrous results of the policies of the pseudo dems are not going to by-pass the silly nitwits who supported them when the damn finally collapses altogether.

@Oberon1 Sounds fun.

@LeopoldBloom I'll take our domestic over Islamic extremist any day of the week ... anybody can create a chart ... where were you on 9 11 ... I was in the Bronx and then Manhattan that day
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@pdockal Maybe traumatized people shouldn't try to make evaluations on things that they are emotionally touchy about. Because that makes them say a lot of dumb stuff. Like:

I'll take our domestic over Islamic extremist any day of the week

It's as if it would be better if a bunch of Americans crashed into the WTC that day. If that really works for you, well, then you have even more issue then a trauma from that day and it's aftermath.
Oberon1 · 61-69, M
@pdockal The chart is typical 'woke' spin. All they do is adjust the standard of definition to suit their narrative. It is pure nonsense and hypocrisy.
pdockal · 56-60, M
@Kwek00 are you kidding me ... I'm NOT traumatized ... that day should have never happened and if we're focused inward we can't see what's coming from outside ... where were you that day ????????????????????????????????????????????????
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@pdockal I'm not traumatized, but I can't really talk about this subject without bringing that one day up and ask people where they were that day. But I'm not emotional about this toppic at all, I have a clear view on things, I'm super rational, and I was in the Bronx and Manhattan that day. 🙄
Oberon1 · 61-69, M
@pdockal There are nine of these idiots here. There are real liberals, progressives, and even a couple of real democrats here, and they are fine people who can have a sensible discussion, but K is just one of nine radicals here who love to come and spew complete nonsense and exchange zingers with the likes of you and I.
pdockal · 56-60, M
@Kwek00 and another thing ... what do you know about that day anyway ... I'm so sick and tired of people who have no idea what that day was like making comments like they know best ... ughhhhhhhhhhhhhh
It was a tragedy that we missed stopping because we were focused elsewhere ...
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@Oberon1 Puck, shhhhh man. You are one of the biggest dumbasses on this platform. If you tell someone that they are "idiots", it's not really that impressive.

The FBI has been warning for right-wing domest terrorism since 2002.

https://archives.fbi.gov/archives/news/testimony/the-terrorist-threat-confronting-the-united-states

It hasn't changed, because even in Trumps' presidency the FBI was warning for right-wing domestic terrorism. But because people don't like muslims, it's apperently worst when muslims do something then when Americans do something. I think that kind of thinking is the true stupidity here. Something you revel in, because you are biased piece of shit.
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@pdockal Maybe it's better that I don't know a lot of the entire emotional rollercoaster you are on. So that I can step outside the emotional conversation and try to make a more unbiassed analysis.
pdockal · 56-60, M
@Kwek00 first calling names is childish and immature and shows ignorance ... second unless you live here you have no idea ...
Oberon1 · 61-69, M
@Kwek00 Like I said. You can toss zingers till you are blue in the face! I'm just grateful there are only nine of you.
pdockal · 56-60, M
@Kwek00 seriously ... where were you that day ????
I'm done with you ... your not informed and I'm not going to educate you because you don't want to be educated

@pdockal They've been spinning this "right wing domestic terrorism" thing for years now. It is pretty easy to see through. I don't really find consolation in the fact that their hypocrisy and foolishness will have dire consequences, but people can only be so stupid for so long before their stupidity comes back to bite them in their collectives asses. This is starting to happen, so they are a little more aggressive than usual. Some of these poor deluded 'educated idiots' are 10% education and 90% indoctrination, and that is the unfortunate dynamic being created by today's American academia. Some of them aren't even US citizens, but are self proclaimed experts on American politics. As I said, there are only nine of these. The rest are pretty decent people.
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@Oberon1 Yes, the FBI has been spinning this narrative under George Bush as a president, under Obama and under Trump. It's some serious spinning that the FBI does.

This word "spinning" comes up a lot with all these issues that don't agree with your perception. But don't let that bother you.

Considering what I've seen in the last 5 years, being a US citizen is clearly not a guarantee to get good information about US politics. 😅 But I find it funny that the most idiotic individuals have to bring out their citizenship, because they are clearly not winning in the department where we look at data. If data doesn't back you, up, you can always retreat to the "I live here" bullshit.
Oberon1 · 61-69, M
@Kwek00 You can find "data" on the variety of cheeses that the moon is composed of! 😆
