I've always loved the concept of Shirin-ryoku forest bathing :)

A little torn on this one. Science has proven, as anyone who spends a lot of time in the wilderness already knew, that there's restorative elements. Among other benefits. But it's the idea of calling it "forest bathing," and creating paid excursions or forming groups to do it, that I can't wrap my head around.

@Ynotisay Some of us have experienced the wonder of being in a forest, decades before anyone in the West ever heard a word for it. I don't need to go on a paid tour.

@DrWatson Oh I'm not paying a penny :) I just think we should all get out among the trees.

@SW-User I agree! :)

@DrWatson Yeah. The group thing is something I find really interesting but can't relate to in any way. All I know is I'm really looking forward to the hiking fad fizzling out. Which it will.

@Ynotisay Hiking is a fad? I have been doing it for 60 years.
