Just once. Back in the days before cell phones, for some unknown reason my ex and I did something we never did before -- we took a chance on going for a walk on a dark forest path without a trail map . Of course, the trail forked several times, and we ended up walking around and around in circles, getting hangrier and more confused and more tired by the minute. We tried finding our way back by using the compass to guess which fork to take, but that didn't work either. Just as we were about to begin yelling for help, we accidentally came upon the right path back to the parking lot.
Every time I watch the Blair Witch Project, I think of that crazy hike in the CT woods. 😄

Yes, few times. Im usually trying with whatever i can make use of, like water pathways that might lead to river, trying to navigate with the altitude like staying at the same altitude or moving but being aware.. sometimes just quitting and moving randomly for hours till I figure something. I have been lost by myself few times but the only time I felt totally lost was with the company of a friend. He had a totally different natural navigation system and it was scary trusting him. I prefer to trust on myself. He got us back to where we began.

I've been uncertain a few times but never truly lost. Never didn't make it to where I wanted to be.
