I could adapt to the lifestyle a lot easier than others, but there are safety and security concerns that make me have my doubts.
Lots of things in the woods probably see me as food, or see my food as theirs. How would I realistically handle being ganged up on by wolves, having a bear bursting through my door, hearing rats running around my cupboards, or getting snowed in and trapped during harsh winters?
Frontier life used to be brutal for a reason. With a moderate amount of modern technology, a cabin would be a lot easier to sleep in, but you're still basically all on your own. If you fall down a steep cliff and break your leg, good luck getting yourself the help you need. People go missing in National Parks pretty regularly in part for reasons like this
