Once upon a time...
A woman woke up to discover there was something in her eye. She didn't think much of it at first, even though it was quite the something, making it painfully difficult for her to even open her eye.
A friend helped to see if there was anything in there, nope.
She thought she'd get some more sleep and it would be gone by the time she woke up, nope.
In fact, not only was it not gone it was worse.
So much more.
At this point it hurt her left eye when she opened her right. The left wanted to move too and the sensation was scary. Sharp cutting pain feeling like the cornea was getting scratched to all heck.
Her friend drove her to the ER, where she sat with both of her eyes closeed, listening to the coughing, sneezing and complaining.
6 hours later, she was in a room where she waited another 3 hours.
She was sent home after being told it was an ulcer on her eyeball and given some drops and an appointment for a real eye doctor in the morning.
The real eye doctor said, Nope!
It's an abrasion.
My eyes had dried out as I slept and when I went to open them the underside of the eyelid ripped off the very top later of the cornea.
I was given some kick ass eye goop to put on my eye, which was actually easier to deal with than I thought. (I hate things in my eyes)
Two days later, right as rain.
The end.
