Winters here
It just keeps snowing and snowing haha looks like lots of shoveling and I’ll be living in my snowsuit today 😂 who else is getting hit with snow ?

Winter Day 8. It is snowing currently. Minus 18 F. with the wind chill. Not much snow where I am working out of town. I hear there is plenty where I live. Please let some of it disappear before I get home on Tuesday. I feel for you. I am in southwestern Ontario, Canada. What snow belt are you in? I hate shoveling...Anyway, have some hot coffee or cocoa. Spring will get here in time.

@PoetryNEmotion haha happy Sunday to you aswell, that is very true you don’t have to shovel mud but certainly makes walking in the forest with the dog very interesting trying not to slip in it😂 hopefully there isn’t to much to shovel when you get home!

@Livinlife11 Making me laugh. My dog will track mud all over inside. The prints are cute though. Crossing my fingers...It will be in the early forties so some will melt. Sunday is the best day of the week. Nice chatting with you. :)

@PoetryNEmotion haha my golden always finds the mud and I mean mud can be fun just have to dress for it like the snow 😂 fingers crossed for sure, supposed to be +5 a few days this week so I’m sure we’ll lose the snow and gain all the mud haha boots won’t be going away that’s for sure, it certainly is the best day and it’s been nice chatting with you aswell!

I was like 22 years old before experiencing my first serious snow. I grew up along the Gulf where a 0.01" snow was enough to declare an emergency.
With that first serious experience I discovered that besides the snow, sidewalks and roads froze over and and there was comprehensive misery associated with winter storms.

@swirlie in 1962 or 63, it did dip down to 15F in Baton Rouge, high teens/low-low 20s along the Gulf and everything had to shut down for a week. Water lines and sewage lines froze. For some it was an "Oh my God! Look! I can walk on water!" moment, but they really couldn't, or at least not for very long.

I’m waiting , we haven’t gotten started yet but I’m ready . If we get 5 feet of snow ( it’s been a long time since we’ve had that much) I’m going to hibernate in my apartment on the third floor and wait until I can see flowers growing in the park next door.
Actually I like the winter even more now that I only have to get out in it when I want to, one of the few advantages of being retired.

Not yet, 3 maybe 4 inches last week. That has mostly melted, aside from the shady areas.
