do sun beds actually make u look older?

@Magenta yeah, my best friend uses the sun beds and takes it a bit too far. she also vapes everyday, and comments on how pale i am and i guess it’s made me insecure, but she’s the one that’s gonna look like a leather bag in 10 years so whatever

@hollyyoung I'd embrace the paleness at least it's natural. 😊

@Magenta People should learn to be comfortable in their own skin and not let anyone influence them otherwise. My MIL made remarks about how I was so pale that I looked “sickly” when I was young. I think it was because she was self-conscious about her skin because she was Native and tanned easily.

@cherokeepatti Being pale doesn’t even look bad either. Majority of pretty people I see are pale not tan but it’s hard when people make u feel shit about it

@hollyyoung I have hazel eyes and don’t tan as easily as my sisters do, they have brown eyes. I am more likely to burn than tan if I try.

@cherokeepatti @Magenta I’ve been told there was a time when women refused to get sun on their skin … as much as possible. They thought pale white skin with black hair was the epitome of beauty.

@NoGamesTolerated I've heard the same, using hats and such to avoid the sun so as not to damage their skin.
I spent far too much time sunbathing when I was much younger, yikes. Now I wear a visor or hat when I'm out for an extended time. 😁
