Sunshine camping blog (part 5 - Tuesday 9 August)
Last night we had a campfire without any fire (naked flames are not a good idea while the countryside is so dry). We have in our company two Girl Guides (retired), one current Girl Guide, one Boy Scout, two Brownies and a Rainbow. Lots of campcraft to share, stories to tell, and inappropriate camp songs to sing 😁
Today the boys went with Laura to pick up extra provisions. I stayed behind with the girls and did arty things with things lying on the ground. The teenagers are very good at organising and involving the little ones. We have made quite an impressive looking structure which looks a bit like a Wicker Man. If it attracts Britt Ekland to my tent tonight I won't be complaining 😊
In the afternoon we strolled out a bit and met some wild goats (the photo is mot mine as I'm not brave enough to get close to the cliff edge):
