Summer is finally here. The kids are out of school. It's time to take that annual vacation or road trip.

I have the money saved I am going on vacation!
Max out the credit card. I deserve a vacation.
Do something closer to home.
Maybe visit relatives and mooch off them for a week.
Have a staycation. I can't afford to go anywhere.
Maybe go camping in a park. Keep it close and cheap.
With the high cost of fuel and skyrocketing inflation I can't even afford a week off.

So with doubling fuel prices and skyrocketing inflation what do you do? Whip out the credit card and rack it up or stay home as usual?

I can afford a vacation in Europe, and that’s where I would go, but I’m not even going into the local grocery store while Covid is around. I remain in indefinite home/ local area confinement. 😔

@CarissimiDo you wear masks to go inside to public stores? I have and still do..they are effective.
Carissimi · F
@Coralmist I don’t go inside stores. I use the “drive up” option, and they bring my groceries etc to my car. I do wear a mask when I’m interacting with that person, and especially as they are no longer wearing them. I don’t wear a mask outside going for a walk, but I try to maintain a minimum of 6-feet distance from others. If these Covid cases come down to a pre-Omicron level, and the death rate goes the same way, I can’t wait to go shopping again, but I will wear a KN95 mask.

@Carissimi Sooner or later you have to get out and live life. Covid isn't going away, assuming it is even real to begin with.

It’s real. I know people who had it. One died, and the other was in hospital for a long time, then needed at least a year of physical therapy for long Covid. It aged her 20-years, but she looks better now after 2-years. @CestManan
