I Love Thunderstorms

Last week's thunderstorm caused the most damage I've seen since I've lived at my current home. Luckily, only a couple of trees lost some limbs and it was the first time that I caught limbs breaking on video. I couldn't stop watching. What good is a basement when I'll never take cover, lol?

One of my friends had a lightning strike on his TV aerial, destroyed the wiring in his house and all electrical appliances. I said, 'did you unplug any when you knew there was a storm coming?'
'I was out but it wouldn't have made a difference, anything unplugged the power jumped the gap and destroyed them too and left burn marks where they were standing.'

@GeniUs: preaching to the converted. Lightning struck a tree i was walking by acres off it and hit me once. I woke up around 20 minutes later with my grandmother looking down at me trying to wake me up. Still outside she had just found me

@GeniUs: Wow, I've heard of similar damage. Hopeful that I won't ever experience it myself.
