The storm has come and gone

And all that freakout was really over nothing. Sure people in the South got a ton of ice and many have lost power. . But, power will eventually be restored, so people in those situations need to be smart and know what to do, to stay warm.

It's definitely not good for people who require daily routine medical attention at home.

But the world isn't going to end, it hasn't ended we're all still here and everything is fine.

Knowing how to stay warm and being physically capable of staying warm are two very different things, though.

It's always the elderly and the less mobile that suffer the most from the cold and the loss of their usual heat sources.

@HootyTheNightOwl yes that's what I was trying to say that the people who are not capable who need assistance, they are the ones who will suffer most.

It was fine here, way worse in midstate New York. Just north of Texas now
