The storm has come and gone

And all that freakout was really over nothing. Sure people in the South got a ton of ice and many have lost power. . But, power will eventually be restored, so people in those situations need to be smart and know what to do, to stay warm.

It's definitely not good for people who require daily routine medical attention at home.

But the world isn't going to end, it hasn't ended we're all still here and everything is fine.

We got 18 inches of snow current temp is minus 8f 20 below wind chill . Even people who are not disabled but lose power have no way to keep warm ,if you don't have a generator how do you suggest people stay warm ? All roads are closed so people can't go somewhere where there is heat . This can be deadly cold . No amount of clothes or blankets will provide enough warmth.
Knowing how to stay warm and being physically capable of staying warm are two very different things, though.

It's always the elderly and the less mobile that suffer the most from the cold and the loss of their usual heat sources.

@HootyTheNightOwl its very goo🤗d of you to care
@Ohplease47 Somebody has to care and be a voice for those who are often silenced by a society that tends to see the disabled as "less than" - despite the fact that those people tend to pay more in their pursuit of a "normal life" than the average able bodied person.

Most people will shovel their paths and go to the supermarket. Somebody who has brittle bones is housebound because a simple slip will break their bones

@Ohplease47 yes I saw the ice accumulations and people losing power. It's an awful situation right now and I hope everyone stays safe and as warm as they can.
