Almost died today...

So this is what happened to me today: I left for work. And I noticed it was very dark outside because a storm was about to brew. I thought I was just leaving in time. But it started to pour while i was in the middle of the woods. Since I bike. And It starts hitting hard. I couldn't see. My blue raincoat was drenched within minutes. And the hood part kept flying back and it wouldn't stay up, so I had to hold it down, the entire time riding the bike with one hand. And the brakes werent working very well, that i had to use my feet to stop myself. The sky above me felt it was only 3 stories away. That's how heavy the storm was today. The dark clouds glooming so dark, you would think it was no longer daytime. The raining hitting my face like needles. The lightning flashed constantly above me, that felt only inches away. Once i got to the street, the storm got worse. I was so soaked from head, i felt like i just jumped straight into a pool. And it was getting to the point I had to stop because I needed to know if my phone was getting wet as well; since how heavy the rain was hitting. Realizing everything was dry inside, a few cars honked at me as i stood there during the middle of a storm. The raining started fogging up my contacts in my eyes while they stung. I looked besides me, which was next to a barber shop. My thoughts about going inside a building for saftey. But I changed my mind the moment one of the guys saw me and he stood in front of the door with his back turned. I froze. Thats when right above me the lightning sprayed across the sky, a bright, large flash of light. I raised my hands up in fear and let out a shreik. And the thunder above was so heavy. Like one big massive boom. And with my sound sensitivity issues, the sound erupted every cell in my body. Buzzing. I could feel the sound wave hit me like a huge ball of energy. I was in the eye of the storm. So close to danger, i stared at it in the face and was unbothered of my fate. But i had to be brave. The storm followed me to work. I was so relieved when i stepped inside. But I was so drenched I made a puddle everywhere i went. Everything was soaked. My significant other was able to come and drop off dry cloths when he got off work. And it was a very close call today. Thousands of people die everyday. I was very insanely lucky.
