Oceans and Tides
Peace slowly overtakes my mind.
A falsehood of perception, washing over me like waves upon coastal sands.
Lapping at my edges and taking small, unnoticeable pieces away from the whole.
Returning them to the depths of an ocean like soul.
Boundless, and endless.
Where thoughts can be lost.
Until the next, dark, ever looming front, arrives.
A tumultuous, regurgitation.
Memory and dream, turned to storms of the mind.
Winds whip, and lightning cracks.
Ravaging every grain left loose.
The storm shall pass again.
Leaving fragmented wreckage on the shores.
Peace broken.
