Those type of clouds usually preceded a strong storm here in Oklahoma. Saw them one day for hours and the widest tornado on record, an F-5 monster hit the Yukon area on interstate 40 later on killing a meteorologist from the Weather Channel. Happened a few years ago

@TryingtoLava We had two microburst storms here. Thought we’d go to the bigger casino because the sky went from like this to absolutely ominous. Got stuck in traffic on the highway and didn’t even make it to the interstate to get to the casino. We ended up going to another casino east of the city and watched as two separate micro-burst storms blew sideways rain, they can be very destructive to fences, roofs, carports etc.
