No pics just a thought about storms

You just never know, sometimes it comes without warning. A massive storm, (microburst) a swath of pure destruction through parts of our area with winds upwards of 120 kms per hour yesterday afternoon. Downed over 200 hydro poles, left hydro lines on many roads and streets, broke some poles like they were matchsticks. Tons of trees fell on streets, homes and vehicles. Sadly three people died and 176,000 residents in the area are without power, myself included.

I was thinking that life is something we shouldn't take for granted. When something like that happens in a blink of an eye, you sustain an injury or just try to get safely inside safely before the destruction gets worse. You're just so grateful to be alive especially seeing all the destruction surrounding you, witnessing the aftermath.

Hope your power has been restored now
Prayers for all affected by this
@GJOFJ3 Good morning my friend, my power came back on yesterday just before 1 o'clock after 8 days without running water, etc., Thank you, feels great to have it back on again, roughing it for that long you learn to adapt very well, lots of challenges.

@sensualbeauty1 OMG. Eight days is a long time! You lose a lot of frozen food?
Glad they got you back up and running
@GJOFJ3 We were lucky because we have a generator. So were able to run the 2 fridges, freezer and sump pump. The inconvenience is living in a rural area and of course being on a well and septic system. I'm just so grateful for having power again. My heart goes out to those individuals who lost everything.

@MarthaTheMaid We made it through OK, some people were unfortunately not so lucky, their homes, vehicles and properties were destroyed by the devastating storm. Thank you very appreciated.

@BlueGreenGrey That was a pretty terrible storm you had. This one was a Derocho that had up to 190km winds. The damage was devastating to say the least.
