I Am Scared Of Storms

I have been through some scary storms I have anxiety its suppose to get bad tonight my husband works nights ill,be alone we are in a new town how does someone get through it? Im embarrassed Im a adult.

I neglected to add to my crazy-sounding answer that my dog went from terror so extreme he tried to bite pieces out of the woodwork to stretching out on the floor and falling asleep in a loud thunderstorm.
