I Love Thunderstorms

I love how much energy is created during a thunderstorm! It takes my breath away and gives me goosebumps when I hear the rolling thunder. It is amazing how much energy can be concentrated into such a tiny string of photons, and how that string of photons can have such a magnificent effect on every single thing it comes into contact with! The affected area can stretch for hundreds of miles! (I don't know this as a fact, if anyone knows how far, the farthest thunder has ever been heard, please enlighten me)

Thunder is like the sound version of the ripples created in the water when a stone is thrown in a pond... Only much more powerful and harmonious. I think a different sound is created by each and every object touched by the mighty collision. It is as if everything it touches is a different instrument, that instantly falls in perfect pitch and sync, as it creates a compounded reverberation, gaining intensity as it rejoins itself, again and again! Like the ripples in a stream after a rock is thrown in.

I wonder how the fish in lakes experience it....haha. Are they scared like our poor dogs?
