Another smile 😊

The snow has begun. It will take an unfortunate turn later when the wind picks up, but for now, it’s just falling. Big wet heavy snowflakes falling straight down. I love the sight. I love how you can tell how heavy it is by how fast it falls yet how separate it seems from gravity, as if it will complete the journey in its own good time. How you can watch it from inside and feel the same peace and silence you’ll feel if you stand out in it because the association is so strong and consistent. A couple walked by on the trail as I stood watching out the window, and I could hear the soft crunch of their footsteps and feel the wet little whisper of snowflakes touching their cheeks, the exhilarating contrast of the cold exposed skin and the toasty warmth of the protected. I don’t feel well so I won’t be going out, but I can watch the snow and not miss a thing. Magical stuff. ❄😌

Beautiful and I love the snow for all the same reasons. Sorry you are not feeling well. When it hits here in Southern Ohio today. I will build a snowwoman for you! ❄☃⛄

Grey and miserable day here, rain off and on all day. Love your description!

I am glad I got to read a Nik ‘rambling’ before this year ends🙏
Yes I love snow too. Sucks we may not get any this year. I want to see my dog run around in it, dogs love snow.
Enjoy it.

I could never tire of reading your thoughts. 🩵
On December 28, 2025, that combination points to somewhere along or just inland from the I-95 corridor, such as:

Eastern Pennsylvania

New Jersey

Southern New England (CT / RI / eastern MA)

Possibly the NYC–DC axis

The phrase “trail” plus the observational tone suggests an urban-adjacent park or greenway, not wilderness—again consistent with Northeast metro areas.

@FrogManSometimesLooksBothWays never been actually but whatever floats yer boat 👍👍😄
@JustNik Or whatever sinks your boat, as Pete Hegseth would say. 👍

Smiling would be the furthest thing I`d be doing. 😩

@JustNik I make a lousy Canuck. I hate snow, cold and maple syrup.

@JustNik Don`t rat me out.

@JoyfulSilence you know, I always prefer snow with overcast skies. Blue skies and snow just feel incongruous to me. I’m so 🙃😂

@JustNik

I prefer to take my country drives when the sun is out. It is easier to photograph things, too:

But it melted a week or two ago. Now it is gray and rain may come.
