Beautiful!
So glad I'm not a goose, I hate cold feet. Where was the photo taken?

@Kstrong from my great room through the window, in New Jersey.

@samueltyler2 I assume those are Canadian Geese?
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@Kstrong Yes, unfortunately, a substantial number no longer migrate south. The noise can be astounding. It is fun to watch them, i can't post a video here, but they all walk together and somehow suddenly decide to start flying. There is a pair of fox that live somewhere nearby, I posted images of them last year, so it may be that unseen when they fly away en masse, is the approach of a predator.

@samueltyler2 Canadian Geese are very dirty birds. Where my best friend has lived, a huge migrating area where they stop and leave their poop all over.

@Kstrong Agreed as to the fact that what they do is consume large quantities of grass and poop a lot, I call them flying poop manufacturing plants. But, they are not particularly dirty themselves. The golf courses around here hire trained dogs to chase the geese away and they put a form of netting over some lakes and ponds to prevent the birds from landing on them. They also have decoy statues of dogs around the courses.
