I Love Snow

It is falling thick and fast over the land of Wales. Many people are struggling to get home. 20cm in an hour is a lot! If it rains here it rains hard. If it snows, it snows hard.
The dragons have all left their mountains to help. But even they are struggling to melt the snow.

I hope you're home safe for the weekend

Yes. It was snowing off and on at college. But the buses ran on time. West Wales is in for a lot more according to the forecast. But it’s the weekend! @firefall

@Blodyn Glad you're home and safe.

I must dig up my copy of Dylan Thomas' "A childs christmas in wales" :)

We all have to read that in school! And “Under Milk Wood.” @firefall

@Blodyn I wish it was compulsory here - a very great poet, indeed. Childs Christmas, my wife adores, her mother used to read it to her every Christmas Eve when she was young, so it holds such warm memories.

(I dont have that emotional connection, I'm just professionally awed by the man's genius as a writer. Well, 'professionally' seeing I've never been paid for my stuff lol).

Did i punctuate correctly. I was only GCSE level in punctuation in my college exams and I’m supposed to be A level! But English punctuation is so difficult. To me it’s a foreign language.

@Blodyn yeah, it's kind of a foreign language to the Americans too, with much less excuse 😆😆

& yes, you punctuated that fine, except I think the final fullstop goes after the "", because it's not part of the title of the poem.

Ok. Thanks, I think that’s why I failed my exam. @firefall

@Blodyn ah, sorry to hear it. And yeah, even for someone who grew up with it as a first language, English is a jungle, and english punctuation is a leopard hiding in the undergrowth :/
