@Heavenlywarrior they don't. At least I've never heard anyone in that community claim it is not a natural phenomenon of light being refracted by water droplets besides a symbol to represent themselves with.

Placing the goal of life after death is placing it [i]nowhere[/i] and is ultimately nihilistic. That trend unfortunately isn't limited to the US or to fundamentalist Christianity by any means.

@JimboSaturn exactly … it’s apparent the Light has Order in a Chaotic Universe… a measure . Since we can count the different colors our eyes can see.

@Heavenlywarrior No I would not. I don't believe in the Bible. I believe in facts and observation. So far science has described the natural world very well, I have no use for a deity or supernatural.

Natural process can create order with not intent or design. Ice crystals for example or basically how gravity creates an equilibrium in the solar system.

Light is neither good nor bad. It is beneficial for life on this planet, so I guess that's good for us.

Gerald Gardner, the founder of Gardnerian Wicca (the version most Wiccans practice today) claimed to have learned the ancient secrets from Dorothy Clutterbuck, supposedly the last surviving witch in England. However, there's no evidence that Clutterbuck was anything other than an Anglican. So Gardner may have made the whole thing up, and modern Wicca may have nothing to do with the original pre-Christian British religion.

Reconstructing the Ancient Egyptian religion would be even more difficult. However, Christianity developed from Judaism, with some pagan symbols added, and Orthodox Judaism isn't that different today from how it was centuries ago.

@bijouxbroussard no shadow is the evidence of darkness. And we all have a shadow right now as far as I know.

I believe there will be a time when there will be no more darkness it will pass away.

@bijouxbroussard Christians aren’t already exempt because Mother Earth hasn’t been healed. This doesn’t have to do with salvation and the state of the heart.

It’s an illusion, it’s not the truth. One can’t see in the dark unless our eyes adjust to the darkness.

But when the light is turned on darkness flees and we really see what is before us.
