Are you successful growing indoor plants?(both)

I live in a ground floor unit which gets very little direct sunlight.
No direct sunlight until 1pm - in the summer.
Any suggestions as to what plants I might try?

I was gifted an African violet and it is still alive! Since April …but my Venus fly trap died within two or three night. I over fed the thing!!! I didn’t know it’s like one fly a week!!!! Or even less?!?
