What are you planting this year? 馃憖

[c=BF0080]My baby plants.. I think 5 different tomato varieties, a baby cucumber, a couple of red peppers(skipped the hot this year b/c I wasn鈥檛 using them so much last year), basil, oregano, parsley, mint, chocolate mint, rosemary, lavender, marigolds everywhere, humming bird flowers I think it is that my neighbor gave me seeds for 馃 and I think that鈥檚 it besides my front garden of regular plants in the ground. [c=BF0080]What are you growing?[/c]

Looking great. Have fun and may you have a wonderful harvest.

What kinds of Tomatoes do you have? Are any of them heirloom varieties? :D

I love the yellow or green or deep violet, almost black tomatoes; they look very pretty in a salad.
My parents had them in their garden!

@LunadelobosIAMTHEDRAGON [c=BF0080]Thank you.. I try to go for small ones b/c I pot them. I know I have yellow pear, super sweet, husky cherry red, a larger yellow type that I shouldn鈥檛 had tried but got it only b/c I was mad 2 places didn鈥檛 have the yellow pear babies 馃槀, I have a red patio tomato plant I believe they call them(they鈥檙e kinda med sized that you can slice or at least it says that) and another red type that I believe is a bit on the med side and okay fir big pots. If I remember, I鈥檒l check the name of the ones I鈥檓 not sure of. I don鈥檛 know why I hit so many tomato plants this year. I think maybe because many were those little 4 packs abd I figured the pots would need extra 馃槄 I usually use bigger ones to start, like the Bonnie brand.

I saw some very dark varieties that I鈥檇 love to try, but they look like they鈥檙e big for growing in pots 馃槙 [/c]
@MellyMel22 You're on fire!

You reminded me, they also had yellow pear babies, it's so sweet and I love how you describe them 馃挍.
I am sorry they were out this year.

My Mama used to save some of the seeds, dry them out on paper towels, (do her magic) and actually start her own plants.
I couldn't tell you which varieties, but I know they were tomatoes :)

P.S. What is the difference between yellow pear and yellow pear babies?

@LunadelobosIAMTHEDRAGON [c=BF0080]Well when I started planting i was irritated remembering neither place had the yellow pair or Italian parsley, so when I was done with the cucumber plant I was working on I told myself I鈥檓 going to try another place. It was also necessary to go there to see if they had the same trelliss I got last year that I didn鈥檛 wanna take from the tomato plants this year. So luckily they had the trelliss I wanted and the yellow pear tomatoes and Italian parsley! I was so glad o went! Those yellow pear are so good! I got so many from the little plant last year(it was my first year trying them).

That鈥檚 great your mom did that! I would try it, but I honestly wouldn鈥檛 know how to! Or if they鈥檇 grow in time. I鈥檓 not sure what the difference is, if I said baby I meant to clarify they鈥檙e tiny 馃き [/c]
@MellyMel22 Yes they are so tiny and adorable. I do miss them. I will be keeping my eye out for them.

Thank you for your post,
it has brought back memories and inspired me. 馃馃尲
