"And into the forest I go, to lose myself and find my soul"
-John Muir
______________________
Hermits, and vagabonds seek a reverent quietude, where all of life comes together. Connected to all that is.
To the rhythm of the wind and rain; the murmur in the trees. The turning of the tides, and change of seasons; the buzzing of the bees.
In my most precious memory, there is a place all my own. A cathedral of green under stars. As a child we counted its fireflies by moonlight, knew their trees by name.
Long after the glow of fire light, the images remain.
Boon for my spirit, salve for the soul; I sought this wilderness.
Stood beneath her velvet skies, cure for man's afflictions.

@MoonlightLullaby 🤗😊
Substance seems scarce all over these days, and yes especially on social media. After all, SW was intended as a place of sharing, we don't do enough of that here anymore. Sad, because it's life's little gems we're missing out on.
Warms my heart that I could bring you a little joy.🌷🌷

@SethGreene531 You very much did just that, as I'm feeling more and more detached and burnt out from lack of such. Plus, I adore perspectives from a writer's heart. My last profile was primarily writing, but little is to be found here. Unfortunately my muse has washed out and fled, so I guess I'll wait patiently on the pen to push some worthwhile words again.💫
How funny it is, to look at that latter statement and still see a little glint of assonance in me. I suppose there's still hope.🤔

Regrettable, I've lost many here over the years as well. Forcing a similar change to my profile.
Hopefully soon, though, you'll find a new muse or fresh inspiration.
In the meantime, that glint of assonance is encouraging!😊

I had a teacher that used to say that, "everything is connected." I never understood what he meant until I was older.😌Great post.💫
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@Peaches My pleasure to share.🌷💫 I've always felt a deep connection with nature since childhood, but only did I fully understand just how nature itself connected me to so much more later in life.

I didn't realize how relevant this post was until now!! I truly understand where this came from. I need to commune with nature again. Nurture my heart and soul. I have become too much of a hermit and set in my stubborn ways!! Im gonna kick my ass into gear!! Today did me some good getting out around people and enjoying myself. I forgot what it felt like honestly!! 🌷🙏💟 i have a special place nearby where i can go alone and be with nature. It was my saving grace as a child.

@Indy74 Go getcha some peace, sis.. 🕊️
I swear by it, and I know you'll find the most amazing breakthroughs, epiphanies & renewal.🌷✨

@MoonlightLullaby i shall do just that. My grandparents owned a farm a ways up the road and its still in the family......so, that is where i shall head. I loved it as a kid and teen, now i can renew myself there!! ☺

That's why I love solitude
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@SW-User It's something I highly value.....
it says just how in tune you are with nature with a name such as yours. Gaia is the essence of solitude.🌼🍃

Reminds me of the Avatar movie. When everyone swayed with a combined energy connected to each other. I believe it was a cinematic depiction of the true connection we all share but cannot realize in the cacophony of modern life.
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@WandererTony Ya know, I've yet to watch that movie. I'm not a big movie buff, especially of that genre. Perhaps I should watch it maybe find something intriguing that I never imagined, given your correlation of it to this quote. 🍿
You seem like a person who'd love philosophy. I'm a huge fan of Allan Watts; the one who quoted this. He's extremely inspirational and motivational in his teachings. Just an FYI. 😌

Beautiful.

@Indy74 It's funny because I was way too busy yesterday, so J paid a visit from the outside. His response to this post was...
Feels like another mirror moment, and is exactly why I don't fear being alone; there is serenity in it. 🙏
I think Shakespeare wrote "you cannot pick a flower without troubling the farthest star" ....
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@ozgirl512 Be still, my heart to Shakespeare and especially that saying. I feel that.💘
Lacemaker · 41-45, F
I love being deep in a forest. You just stop and hold your breath.
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@Lacemaker Literally (breath)taking indeed.😌

I keep reading this and loving this, because in solitude one finds clarity
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@SW-User Gaia is the all giving healer and solitude in her company is the ultimate place of peace... especially for soul work.
If you haven't already, you should try watching a couple of his videos in YouTube and see if they help guide you.. It's actually hard to watch just one, I promise.😉
