Rickerby Park, Carlisle
Rickerby Park, about a mile length along the right bank of the River Eden passing Carlisle (NW England), and the footbridge, were created in the 1920s as the town's War Memorial.
The park land was gifted from a private estate, the bridge was paid for by public subscription.
The house, adjacent to the entrance, and its garden are private.
A footpath along the left bank makes a circuit possible, using also the main road bridge at the Park's entrance. (Photographed in August 2023)
