I chose my name for a type of bird I used to see in large numbers in my area all the time. Their numbers seem to have been decimated by the hurricanes we have had in recent years, but there is also a lot of construction going on in my area, so I am sure that is contributing too. When I have seen them recently, there have only been 3 or 4 at the most, and no young ones. I toss the left-over dry food from my cats out the door to the yard in the morning, and they used to stalk over fast for the seafood flavor :). I miss them!
