Morning Song

Birdsong punctuates
the cool morning air
as long tree shadows
meet the sun advancing
upon the dewy grass
Deeply breathing in
the pine-scented air
I am filled
with peace and joy
at nature's wonder
Bare my soul to this
Let my heart sing
Holding this moment close
to retrieve in hard times.
