Morning Song

Birdsong punctuates
the cool morning air
as long tree shadows
meet the sun advancing
upon the dewy grass
Deeply breathing in
the pine-scented air
I am filled
with peace and joy
at nature's wonder
Bare my soul to this
Let my heart sing
Holding this moment close
to retrieve in hard times.
I love this.
This is everything morning is.
In very few words you've captured not just the morning that inspired you but mornings that inspire me as well.
@robingoodfellow Then I am happy! We share the joy.
@robingoodfellow This is an older one; however, and I do like all my creations.

The bird sings...,
To no one in particular.
Piercing and shrill.
Melodic and absonant.
Seen and unseen.

The music continues
Flying on the breeze...,

Like the bird itself.
It takes wing inside the forests of your mind.
A gentle reminder....,
Reminding us that new songs come.

With or without us.

~The Snowdog

I'm a parakeet....

I am an irreconcilable beast.
A man..., trapped inside a poet.
A parakeet, trilling from inside his cage.
Claws bared, and beak bloody....

Just another song..., sung already....

By bears who are much wiser than I might ever be....

I belong in a place my heart can't ever accept.
It's all how it's meant to be, my friend.

Some cages needed to be built.
Some foundations must stand forever.

I am just a foundering ship;
Anchored !

Not even Hecate would argue my facts.
I am darkness wrapped in light.

I protect what I must for the sake of those who believe in me.
I can't be anything else.

Not until Death comes to claim me.

I accept it.

The way is set.
The path; Beaten.

The drums call us all to dance.

May the stars carry your sadness away...,
May the flowers fill your heart with beauty...,
May hope forever wipe away your tears...,
And above all..., May silence make you strong !

Hmmm listening to Curlews and lonely female koalas all night, not sure birdsongs get me going in the morning 😂
@Shutterbug Hi, my friend! Good to see you. I will have to look up Curlews and the sounds of lonely female koalas.

@PoetryNEmotion crying babies and squealing pigs
@Shutterbug LOLZ. I am scurrying to get ready for my day shift. Thanks for the images and the sounds. Have a great night. I so miss bumping into you like this. Take care. :)

The winter of my words repented
The Spring and Summer of which
Have both relented
Another well sprung wishing well
Felled by things that supplemented.

Yet here these waters run so dry
Another long last tear: Now cried
Another set of wishes; Died
Another path of walking; Tried

In all the millions of things I see
I wonder when I shall be free
Of these things assaulting me
I still burn for all eternity

And though these chains feel ever-tight
I stand upon another blight
My moon shall set before the light
And I shall burn
Because that's what's right.

Thanks,
The Snowdog
This is absolutely beautiful. There's something to be said of birdsong. It carries such a nurturing balm. 😌
@MoonlightLullaby Thank you so much. I am an elemental.
@PoetryNEmotion My pleasure. That's a new term for me, but it doesn't need much explanation. 😉
