Ive been through a couple.
After the storm leaves, no power, and the following heat that turns the sodden land into a sauna. No relief. Food goes bad. Long lines for ice.
You dont have to be in the main path to suffer.
Hang in. Good luck to you.

I'm really dreading it, too. There are already very powerful wind gusts happening here and power flickers, and Ian is still way south of this area.
I wish you well.

@DeluxedEdition It's been raining all day in SW Florida, too. Rain is far from the major concern, where I live.

If you're in the path and the worst that happens is you lose power, you're in good shape.
Big difference between inconvenience and damage/destruction/ loss of life. Been through several of these. I hope you stay safe.

If you live in the path, why don't you evacuate as you have been instructed?

I hope you're doing ok and get your power back soon. I've been able to stay in contact with my mom but I hope they have enough to get by with the power out.
