Very, very smart and definitely sounds like it could save a life. Makes me think of Julian Sands and Michael Mosley and if they could have been saved. 😔
Wise advice. I used to do a lot of solo hiking often late into the evening while dusk was coming on. Even on a well travelled trail if it becomes late in the evening you never know if you will not be the last one on the trail. Now I think it would be more helpful before you left. I imagine without a signal if you go to change your voicemail message and you are without signal the message will not become updated.
Smart if you get more than one voice mail a month! 😱
Sometimes I only even get one text a month. And that's my utility bill which I sometimes don't respond to. It gets sent a couple of weeks in advance of being due.
