Very interesting, I'd like to see what lies beneath. Almost looks like the base of a pyramid cut slab.

I found Bake Oven Knob the most beautiful spot to visit near the Appalachian trail while I was living in Lehigh Valley in the early 70s. This is a modern day drone shot.

@Gibbon IMO the Appalachian Mountains which are around 500M years old are so much more interesting than the Rockies which are relatively young at about 80M years.

first one looks like it could have been cut-out as a trench for some means or another, perhaps during the log drive days. rather make suggestion of this than allude it to being some sort of privy hole outright ;p
