Unsettling Hike

I was hiking today and all of a sudden everything got really quiet. As I continued to walk I felt unsettled like something was watching me. I didn’t see anything I just got the feeling. As I continued along this trail I noticed tons of dead trees, like more than normal for an area, there were trees barely hanging on by a limb attached to others, and what looked like death traps ready to fall from above on a distracted hiker. The whole time I was in this part I was afraid. It’s weird how a place can feel so unsettling. Nothing wanted to be there, I didn’t hear a single thing.

Once you are back I would like to share my thoughts on similar feelings and experiences I have had and the possible reasons....

I’m back, I’m far far away from there now in a cozy cabin at the top of a mountain. Please share your thoughts, I’m interested to know what you think about it

@PrestonJ i have heard, as well as experienced it myself, that certain spaces contain strong energy which is either positive or negative, and depending on the sensitivity of our own energy we experience it in different ways... This is similar to the vibes which we get from people... We are instantly comfortable with some and not so with others.. it's all about the energy which people and spaces exude.... Some people give us positive energy and we feel energized in their presence and with some we feel drained out.... So it's important to listen to what the body feels and respond accordingly...

I agree with that completely. I think it happens so much that we are just used to it and we unconsciously just act on those feelings. It’s a great defense mechanism. When you really think about it it’s pretty amazing how we intuitively know what good for us. I remember feeling very alone, and vulnerable. Thoughts of bears kept popping into my head, you couldn’t even hear the leaves blowing in the wind, although these trees were missing most of them, and some were pine trees, so they don’t make as much noise.
